In search of......

the great pumpkin patch. A friend of mine and I took our kids to a pumpkin patch today, I guess I should say that we meant to. We met at one suspected pumpkin patch to find that it was only a barn where you can by pumpkins and such and leave money in a lock-box. So that place was a bust; not even anyone to ask if there was a pumpkin patch around. Next we tried a place that was having a "Fall Fest". Well, this fest is only on Sat and Sun from 12-5 unless you happen to be there with a field trip. I did manage to get a picture of Deklan standing next to some pumpkins and corn stalks.
There where some animals in pens that we got to look at also. Deklan loves animals so it wasn't completely wasted trip. We also had a picnic snack which was nice. My friend and I are going to try to do some more research and go to a real, no field trip necessary, pumpkin patch next week.
